Gas Fireplace
Repair & Service

Mesa gas inserts from the late 80s and early 90s almost always have an original Honeywell millivolt system that just gives up after twenty years of cycling. It’s usually a thermocouple or thermopile, not the valve itself.

What to Expect When You Call

When you contact Arizona Chimney Pros for a gas fireplace repair, a technician will ask a few quick questions about what your fireplace is doing — or not doing. This helps us bring the most likely replacement parts on the first visit. Most calls are scheduled the same day or the following morning depending on your location in the Valley.

On arrival, the technician performs a systematic diagnosis starting with the simplest components: thermocouple output voltage, pilot flame color and size, and gas supply pressure. This step-by-step approach means we rarely replace parts that don't need replacing. You receive a written price before any work begins — no surprises on the final invoice.

Brands and Systems We Service

We work on all major gas fireplace brands including Heat & Glo, Majestic, Monessen, Napoleon, Regency, Superior, and Vermont Castings, as well as older Honeywell millivolt systems common in homes built in the 1980s and 1990s throughout Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert. Both natural gas and propane systems are within our scope.

Service Area

Arizona Chimney Pros serves the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, and Queen Creek. If you are unsure whether we cover your zip code, call (602) 536-8034 and we will confirm availability.

When a Repair Is Not Enough

Some older inserts — particularly those with cracked fireboxes, corroded burner assemblies, or discontinued parts — may be better candidates for replacement than repair. If that is the case after diagnosis, we will explain your options clearly, including fireplace insert installation, so you can make an informed decision. We do not charge a diagnostic fee if you proceed with a repair or replacement on the same visit.
